Masjid Jamek Sandakan (GPS: 5.84126, 118.11829) is a mosque in the town of
Sandakan,
Sabah. It was originally built in the 1890's as a place of worship for the Indian Muslims in Sandakan. Muslims sought refuge here during the Second World War, and it even acted as a hiding place for a few Europeans.
