West Coast Division is an administrative division of Sabah. Although it occupies only 7588 square kilometers, or 10% of Sabah's total land area, it has about 30% of the total population of the state. This is the division that includes the state capital,
Kota Kinabalu. Other major towns include
Putatan,
Inanam,
Telipok,
Tamparuli and
Kinarut.
Districts of the West Coast Division
Apart from the state capital, the West Coast Division is subdivided into five districts:
1. Kota Belud District
2. Kota Kinabalu District
3. Papar District
4. Penampang District
5. Ranau District
6. Tuaran District

Each of the red square represents a town in the West Coast Division. The big red square is used to denote Kota Kinabalu. I also add a green square to show nature sites such as Kinabalu Park.
