Batang Ai National Park (GPS: 1.22277, 111.9478) is a national park in the
Sri Aman Division of Sarawak. It is located in Lubok Antu which is about 250 kilometers from
Kuching.
Batang Ai covers an area of 240 square kilometers. It includes a 24 square kilometer artificial lake which was created by the Batang Ai reservoir. The national park is home to a variety of animals including orang utans, gibbons and hornbhills.
Batang Ai National Park is the only one in Sarawak where the Ibans living there are directly involved in the park management.
