Batang Berjuntai (GPS: 3.37795, 101.40623) is a small town in Kuala Selangor District, Selangor.
The name Batang Berjuntai means "dangling branch". Unfortunately the self-righteous powers-that-be considered such a name too graphic for dirty minds, and in 2007, changed it to the uninspiring Bestari Jaya. Bestari Jaya isn't a popular choice, and most people continue to call the place Batang Berjuntai. The name Bestari Jaya now appears on expressway road signs.
Batang Berjuntai is the location for Universiti Industri Selangor.

Batang Berjuntai is "off the beaten track". Whether you are coming from Kuala Lumpur or Penang, take the North South Expressway till Exit 115.
Continue on the E35 until the first interchange, then exit in the direction of Kuala Selangor to the E25.
From the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, continue to the Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway (E25), often called the LATAR at Exit 3501. At the end of the expressway, you exit at Exit 2501 and then turn right in the direction of Ijok.
When you reach Simpang Tiga Ijok (see below), turn left and follow State Route B35 (Jalan Bukit Badong) until you reach Batang Berjuntai.
There isn't much to see in Batang Berjuntai in terms of tourist attractions. I come across a Hindu temple (see picture below). There's the campus of Universiti Industri Selangor, but it's not so much of touristic interest.
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
