Gombak District, Selangor

Gombak District, or Daerah Gombak, is a district of Selangor. It wraps around the northern part of Kuala Lumpur. Gombak borders on Kuala Selangor to the northwest, Hulu Selangor District to the north, Pahang to the northeast, Hulu Langat to the southeast, and Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Buloh District to the south.

This district was created on 1 February, 1974, simultaneous to the formation of Kuala Lumpur as a Federal Territory of Malaysia. Location authority is divided between the Gombak District Land Office and the Selayang Municipal Council. Main towns in Gombak District include Baru Arang, Kuang, Rawang, Selayang, Lembah Keramat and Melawati.
