Hulu Langat District, Selangor

Hulu Langat District, or Daerah Hulu Langat, is a district to the east part of Selangor. Covering 82,944 hectares, it shares a border with Kuala Lumpur to the east, Gombak district to the northeast, Pahang to the north, Negeri Sembilan to the east and south, and Sepang district to the southwest. The district seat is Bandar Baru Bangi.

The district of Hulu Langat comprises seven subdistricts or mukims. They are Dusun Tua, Ampang, Cheras, Hulu Semenyih, Kajang, Semenyih and Beranang. There are two local councils, namely the Municipal Council of Ampang Jaya and the Municipal Council of Kajang.

Hulu Langat has four parliamentary representatives and eight representatives on the state assembly. As of 2013, all are held by Pakatan Rakyat except the state seat of Semenyih, which is held by Barisan Nasional.

Hulu Langat is served by the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway, the Cheras-Kajang Expressway and the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway.
