There are quite a number of places of interest in Selangor. As I explore the state, I will list down the places which I have discovered, for the benefit of other visitors. As far as possible, I will try to provide you the GPS map coordinates, to help you navigate to the sites.
GPS: 3.34141, 101.24639 Located on Bukit Malawati, related places include Muzium Sejarah Daerah Kuala Selangor on the hill, Telaga Tujuh (3.341816, 101.248485) can reach by car at the foot of the hill beside Masjid Pekan Kuala Selangor. Also nearby is Kuala Selangor Nature Park. Worth seeing nearby is a Chinese temple called Qi Jian Xian Shi Fo Zu Gu Miao (3.34434, 101.25497) see below.
GPS: 3.34434, 101.25497 Located near Bukit Malawati, visit it after visiting Bukit Malawati. The temple is behind Giant Hypermarket. There is another Chinese temple nearby (3.34358, 101.25408) worth a quick glance.
Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort, Bagan Lalang
GPS: 2.60115, 101.68841 Before reaching here, stop at Pantai Batu Laut (2.6756, 101.51459). After that, visit also the beach of Bagan Lalang (2.59844, 101.69131)
Sekinchan

Templer Park

This is a theme park, most attractions open from 11:00 am to 12:00 midnight. Entrance fee to visit all the sights is RM102 per person. Entrance to WaterWorld a further RM25 per person. Details on i-City website.
Forest Research Institute of Malaysia

Visit also the Forestry Museum there.
Jugra

Jugra was the royal town of Selangor, before the capital moved to Klang, then to Kuala Lumpur, and finally to Shah Alam. Places worth visiting here include Istana Bandar (2.86002, 101.44097), Masjid Sultan Alaeddin (2.86335, 101.43976), and the Jugra Lighthouse (2.836061, 101.417758).

A place similar to Sekinchan, with paddy fields. There is a Malay homestay programme here. Will stopover only if got time.
Masjid Bandar DiRaja Klang Utara

The mosque is beside the Klang River, and is best viewed from the Kota Bridge (3.04605, 101.44674) that crosses the river. Have to park and walk up the bridge, which has a pedestrian walkway. While there, can also visit Kubu Raja Mahdi nearby (3.04543, 101.44484), park at the parking lot of MPK and walk to the fort.
Morib Beach

There is a monument to the Indian Soldiers here, but other than that, not a major sight. Will stopover if got time.
Muzium Orang Asli, Gombak

There is also an Orang Asli Centre (3.28848, 101.73143) nearby.
Paya Indah Wetlands
