Sepang International Circuit (GPS: 2.75941, 101.73177) is a racing circuit in Sepang, Selangor. It is within view of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, about 60 km from Kuala Lumpur.
The Sepang International Circuit was first opened on 7 March, 1999. It has a 5.54-km circuit designed by Hermann Tilke, a German circuit designer who would also design the tracks in Shanghai, Bahrain and Turkey. The track in Sepang comprises two circuits, the North Circuit and South Circuit. These can be combined to form a full circuit with one tight hairpin.
Among the major events held at the Sepang International Circuit includes the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix, A1 Grand Prix, Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the SuperGT and the Asian Touring Car Championship.
How to go to the Sepang International Circuit
Take the E6 Expressway in the direction of KLIA. Exit the expressway at Exit 1, when you see the KLIA Mosque to your left. This is how the exit looks like on street view:
Exit the E6 Expressway here.
You will pass the KLIA Mosque still on your left and reach a roundabout . At the roundabout, continue straight on until you reach the next junction to your left. That's Jalan Kuarters KLIA. Don't turn in there, or you will reach the rear part of the Sepang International Circuit. Instead continue on to the next left junction, which is surprisingly insignificant one.
The turn in to Sepang International Circuit ahead, on the left.
But once you turn in, you will see that you are on the right track, so to speak, as there are huge car parks on both sides of the road. Find a place to park, and then walk to the main entrance.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
