Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) (GPS: 3.13316, 101.55374), popularly known as Subang Airport, serves as the city airport for Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. This is the old Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is 24 km from downtown Kuala Lumpur. After mainstream operations moved to the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the airport was renamed Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, but it continues to be called Subang Airport. Terminal Three of the airport is now called the Skypark Terminal after it underwent renovation and refurbishment in February 2008.

At time of writing (Mar 2015, updated Aug 2019), Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is used by turbopop aircrafts. Airlines using this airport are Berjaya Air, Citilink, Firefly and Malindo Air. Upon arrival, follow the signages to clear immigration, collect your baggages and clear customs. If you have a connecting flight at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, you need to start the whole process of checking in for the flight.

Getting out of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport

If you arrive at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, your options include taxi, Rapid KL bus 772 that goes to Asia Jaya LRT Station, Central Market and KL Sentral (daily 6:00am till midnight), and Rapid KL bus T773, a feeder bus to Ara Damansara LRT Station, and bus T804 to Kwasa Sentral MRT Station. There is also a KTM Komuter train from the airport to KL Sentral since 1 May, 2018. In addition, there is also a shuttle bus service between Subang Skypark and Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA and KLIA2.

Skypark Coaches operates a shuttle bus service from Sultan Abdul Aziz ShahAirport to Pudu Sentral (RM9.30), with stops at KL Sentral and the Old KTM Station (both RM10.00, Aug 2019).

The journey by taxi from Sultan Abdul Aziz ShahAirport to downtown Kuala Lumpur is about 25 kilometers. You have the option of the budget taxi (03 7847 4782) or the premier taxi (016 332 9573). To get a taxi, proceed to the Transport Facility Counter.
