Sunway Lagoon (GPS: 3.07147, 101.60519) is a theme park in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It first opened to the public on 24 October 1992. The official opening was carried out by the then prime minister, Dato Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad on 29 April 1993. It won 2 of the tourism awards for 1994 and 1995 for the most outstanding contribution to the tourism industry and the best entertainment spot.
There are five themed lands at Sunway Lagoon, namely the Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park and Scream Park. The water park of Sunway Lagoon is the only water park located 150 feet below road level. Visitors have to take the escalator to reach the water park.
The Adventure Park, part of Sunway Lagoon, is a 5-acre theme park that opened in March 1994. Fort Lagoon Wild Wild West was constructed at a cost of RM30 million. The man-made surf wave pool is a 13,000 sq meter pool. It has a wave making machine that creates 8-feet tall waves that break onto a man-made beach front. Sunway Lagoon also has the longest suspension walk bridge in Malaysia. It spans 450 meters across the pool.
Location within Sunway Lagoon is the Sunway Lagoon Resort, the first fully integrated theme resort hotel in Malaysia. It offers 5-star hotel along with a shopping mall and other facilities.

Walk-In Rates
The Walk-In Rates include entry to ALL parks, including all rides, activities and attractions, but not for pay-per-ride activities such as Bungy Jump, G-Force X and Go Kart. The price is RM170 (adult aged 13 and above), RM140 (child 12 years and below, senior citizen 60 years and above).
MyKad holders can purchase tickets applicated to MyKad holders. MyKad tickets are available only at the ticketing counter at Sunway Lagoon. Visitors must bring along their MyKad (and MyKid) to enjoy the rates of RM120 (adult aged 13 and above), RM96 (child aged 12 and below, senior citizen aged 60 and above).
You may also purchase your Sunway Lagoon tickets online at the online rates. The admission ticket for international travelers is RM153 (adult aged 13 and above), RM126 (child aged 12 and below, senior citizen aged 60 and above). For Malaysians, the online ticket is priced at RM120 (adult aged 13 and above) and RM96 (child aged 12 and below, senior citizen aged 60 and above).
The Pay-per-ride activities include Bungy Jump priced at RM138 (RM80 with MyKad), G-Force X at RM64 (RM32 with MyKad) and Go-Kart, at RM22 per ride on the single seater and EM27 per ride on the double seater. Combo Rides pricing for Bungy Jump and G-Force X is RM160 (RM101 with MyKad).
