Sungai Kulim, as seen from Lunas. (28 January, 2007)
Sungai Kulim is the river that flows through the town of
Kulim in southern Kedah. Apart from a section near its source, Sungai Kulim flows largely in a northwesterly direction to empty into the
Prai River at Kampung Labuk Banting on the Penang Mainland. It is the main river not only for Kulim but also
Lunas and forms a geographical demarcation between
Bukit Mertajam (in Seberang Perai Tengah) and
Tasek Gelugor (in Seberang Perai Utara).
Sungai Kulim in Penang, where it separates Kampung Guar Petai (before the bridge) in Seberang Perai Utara from Bukit Berangan (beyond the bridge) in Seberang Perai Tengah.
