Tengku Umar's Throne was where Tengku Umar sat when discussing war strategies with his court officials.
Bukit Puteri was his stronghold until 1831, when it was ousted from Kuala Terengganu by Tengku Mansur, who then ascended the throne as Sultan Mansur II.
Tengku Umar returned in 1838 and triumphed over Sultan Mansur's successor, Sultan Muhammad I. He then ascended the throne as Sultan Umar.
