Seberang Takir (GPS: 5.34724, 103.12952) is a small fishing village to the north of Kuala Terengganu, across the Terengganu River estuary. A big portion of Seberang Takir is on the headland jutting out into the Terengganu River. The main road in the village is Jalan Fikri.
Seberang Takir is a place to wander around and view the rural life. There are fish and cuttlefish being dried on mats and womenfolk making keropok lekor.
How to go to Seberang Takir
Take a ferryboat at the Terengganu Ferry Terminal across the Terengganu River to the pier at Seberang Takir. The journey takes just about 5 minutes and costs 50 sen each way.
