Sungai Besut is a river in Terengganu. It flows through Daerah Besut to enter the South China Sea at Kuala Besut. As one of the major rivers in Terengganu, it has a number of tributaries including Sungai Garu, Sungai Baung, Sungai Raur, Sungai Kemia, Sungai Tenang, Sungai Angga, Sungai Tabal, Pasir Akar, Sungai Binjai, Sungai Pealagat and Sungai Pengkalan Nyirih.
