Market Food Street at The TOP, Komtar, Penang (6 November 2018)
Market Food Street is a non-halal food court at
The TOP in Komtar, Penang. One of the many dining outlets at The TOP, it is where you can enjoy various hawker food at reasonable prices.
My wife and I were treated to lunch at Market Food Street by the management of The TOP on 6 November, 2018. We had earlier had a late breakfast at
Imperial Court Restaurant and then visited
TOP Boutique Aquarium. After one and a half hours touring the aquarium, we have fully digested the breakfast and were ready for lunch.

Market Food Street brings air-conditioned comfort to kopitiam deco. (6 November 2018)

Market Food Street is created so that people who want to enjoy Penang food and do so in air-conditioned comfort, and not have to "food court prices". You will see that most items are priced around RM6 per plate, so they are almost the same as what you would get at the traditional
kopitiams.
The hawker stalls are lined up along the side, while the drinks stall is in its own island at the centre of the food hall. Ordering is easy. No need to purchase coupons, just pay direct.
Here are some of the stalls. You can see that the prices are comparable to outside.

For our lunch, we had chicken rice, curry mee and Chinese porridge. No complains for any of the dishes served to us. Take a look at them.
It was the first time we ate at Market Food Street, and I am quite surprised that the food is neither bad nor expensive! (6 November 2018)
