Masjid Al-Idayah (GPS: 5.29614, 100.25947) is a mosque in Bayan Lepas. Also called the Bayan Lepas Mosque, it is just a short walk from Pekan Bayan Lepas, and serves the Malay community of the village. The mosque has been around since at least the mid 20th century.

Over the years, Masjid Al-Idayah has been expanded a few times to reach its present size. Due to its proximity to the main road, Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim, it is unlikely to have space for further expansion. Despite the introduction of modern finishing, the mosque still retains the original wooden frames over its windows and is one of the most charming mosques in the area.

Getting there

There nearest bus stops are along Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim and Jalan Bayan Lepas. You can take Rapid Penang bus 302, 305 and 308, 401 and 401E to either of the two bus stops.
