Masjid Jamek Permatang Binjai (GPS: 5.50138, 100.39489) is the mosque for the village of Permatang Binjai in Penaga, Seberang Perai Utara. The mosque is located beside Jalan Permatang Binjai, in fact, so close that the wall of the mosque is almost on the road, leaving only a small margin in between.

Masjid Jamek Permatang Binjai has a square prayer hall topped with a double-tier hip roof. There is no dome over the roof, but there is one over the porch. The mosque does not have a proper minaret. Instead the call to prayers is issued from loud speakers topped by a pointed top, the mosque's interpretation of a minaret.
