Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya (11 September 2016)
Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya (GPS: 5.38678, 100.40387) is the main mosque for the township of
Seberang Jaya on the Penang Mainland.
Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya comprises two prayer halls. The main prayer hall has a square plan measuring a hundred and forty feet on each side. It can accommodate up to three thousand worshippers at one time. An auxiliary wing is a two-storey building measures eighty feet by a hundred and thirty feet and holds the administrative office,
wuduk room, lecture room, funeral parlour, dining hall, kitchen and bathroom. There is also a detached building housing the imam's residence. The mosque was completed on 20 January, 1993. The mosque originally spot gilded onion domes. As of September 2015, these domes have been repainted glossy light blue.
