Masjid Jamek Simpang Empat Balik Pulau is a newly rebuilt mosque in Kampung Paya, along the main road of
Balik Pulau. It replaces an older mosque that stood on the same site, and is one of the three mosques along the same road.
Masjid Jamek Simpang Empat Balik Pulau is one of several mosques along the same stretch of Jalan Balik Pulau. The other mosques are the
Masjid Daerah Balik Pulau and the
Masjid Mukim Kongsi. As the Simpang Empat mosque is located near the village of Genting, it is also often known as the
Masjid Jamek Simpang Empat Kampung Paya.
Masjid Jamek Simpang Empat Balik Pulau is painted pink. It has a gilded dome and a minaret with geometric designs.
