Commercial Property Review: BHL Bank Tower, Locale
Menara BHL Bank (GPS: 5.42656, 100.32241), also called
BHL Bank Tower, is a 30-storey skyscraper along
Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, on the north coast of
George Town, Penang. It includes a five-storey commercial podium and a tower block above it.
Menara BHL Bank is 108 meters tall. It used to house the head office of BHL Bank, formerly Ban Hin Lee Bank, before the several phases of consolidation of the banking industry merged BHL with other banks to eventually form CIMB Bank.
Menara BHL Bank, George Town (21 December 2009)
Location
Menara BHL Bank is strategically located along Northam Road, in the northern commercial belt of George Town. It is in a row along with other skyscrapers of Northam Road.
Public Transport
Rapid Penang bus 104 is the only bus route that goes through Northam Road. The frequency is quite wanting, so I would recommend that you do not rely on the bus to get here, but rather take a taxi if you depend on public transport.
Catchment
Menara BHL Bank part of George Town, which means the whole Penang Island is the catchment. Due to its stategic location, it is an ideal address for northern region headquarters.
