Menara JKP (GPS: 5.41606, 100.32517) is a 21-storey skyscraper at 128 Macalister Road in George Town, Penang. It was formerly known as Menara UMNO. Menara JKP is located at the junction of Macalister Road and Jalan Zainal Abidin. The building is 93.6 meters tall, to the height of its roof. It was completed in 1998 and designed by local architect Kenneth Yeang of the firm T.R. Hamzah & Yeang. Special features of the skyscraper includes its wing walls that are positioned to catch prevaling winds. Its windows and balcony doors can be adjusted to control the flow of air and manage ventilation.

Updates on Menara JKP
17 December, 2018 Kwong Wah repoorted that Menara UMNO was renamed Menara JKP, after its owner, JKP Sdn Bhd, the developer arm of Majlis Pembangunan Bumiputra Pulau Pinang (Penang Bumiputra Development Council).
13 June, 2013:
A thunderstorm at 6:45pm caused a freak accident when the lightning arrestor at the top of Menara UMNO dropped off and crashed down to Macalister Road below. It destroyed several vehicles including a lorry carrying gas canisters. Two persons were killed in the tragic incident. They were identified as hawker Lim Chin Aik, whose car was driven six meters under the road surface by the impact, and lorry attendant Jahir Hussain Sulaiman, 46, who was on board a lorry carrying gas canisters. Others injured were identified as Norhalis Hayati Abd Latif, 30, Abd Latif Ramli, 71, Mohamad Badrul, 32, Rudi Ahmad, 34 and Samsiah Salim, 49. Separately, the same thunderstorm also caused the death of motorcyclist Wong Tze Chow, 33, when a tree fell onto his path.
