Merican Lane or Lorong Merican is a small lane in George Town, Penang. It connects at its end with Brunei Lane. The name has a haphazard collection of houses built in the mid 20th century mixed in with village houses that were re-built to steadier design.

Getting there

Merican Lane is best approached by private vehicle, as the nearest bus stop is quite a distance away. I am still trying to figure out whether there are any back lanes that can take me on a shorter route from the bus stop along Dato Kramat Road. Otherwise, you have to either take Pahang Road or Dunlop Road, followed by Merican Road to get there.
