Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop, Victoria Street (5 June 2013)
Ming Xiang Tai is a pastry shop in
George Town, Penang. I came its
main outlet along Burmah Road. Then recently, when I was on the way to photograph the
Giant Cat Mural, I discovered that Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop has opened a branch along
Victoria Street. The branch began operations on 25 May, which is just about a week after I passed by.
Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop along Victoria Street is housed in a single-storey traditional-style pre-war building. It has a portico supported by a pair of column. When I saw the shop, it wasn't open. I suppose its opening hours are much later.
Among the pastries you can get at Ming Xiang Tai include egg tarts, crispy yam puffs, siew paus, pandan salted egg pastry and wedding cookie.
Updates
January, 2014: The Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop has added a mural on their side wall,
I Want Pau!
