Nada Lama is the main restaurant at Hotel Equatorial Penang. It is located at the lower ground floor of the hotel, in the space formerly occupied by Coffee Garden. The area underwent a makeover and was then tiven the new name.

Nama Lama offers daily buffet meals. The buffet breakfast is available from 6:00 am to 10:00 am while the international buffet lunch is from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm. The Sunday lunch is called the Seiring Buffet, and is available from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm. There is also the international buffet dinner on Sundays to Thursdays, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is the Weekend Suft and Turf BBQ Buffet Dinner, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

I had the opportunity of dining at Nada Lama on 7 June, 2015, when my wife and I were given a treat there by a relative, who is with the hotel. This being a buffet, I headed for the expensive stuff such as the grilled lobsters, the crabs, oysters and the prawns. Then I finished up with the wide selection of cakes and desserts. That's about all that I am able to manage. There is of course a lot of food that is available, but I wasn't able to try everything.

The Dining Hall of Nada Lama

Nada Lama has a dining hall that can be partitioned for private functions. The partitioned area is separated from the main part of the restaurant by circular sliding screens.
