For those who are looking for wildlife, this is quite limited although bird watchers can still find several species of birds in the hills around Air Itam as well as on the mudflats along Jelutong Expressway and Gurney Drive. On the south side of the island is the Penang aquarium with a selection of local fish. The Penang Bird Park is in Seberang Jaya while the Penang Butterfly Farm is in Teluk Bahang. Together, they represent a wide selection of animal life which visitors can admire up close.
