Noordin Street Flats (GPS: 5.41049, 100.33393) is a block of flat bounded by Noordin Street Ghaut, Magazine Road and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway. The flat is one of the earliest projects by the municipal authorities to house the urban working class of George Town.

Noordin Street Flats is seventeen storeys tall. At the time of its completion in the late 1970's, it was the tallest building in George Town. This being a predominantly Chinese neighbourhood, there are many Taoist shrines and temples in its vicinity. The most prominent is Hean Leng Tnua.

Public Transport at Noordin Street Flats

For the best connection, go to the Komtar Bus Terminal or Weld Quay Ferry & Bus Terminal, both within a moderate distance away. Otherwise, the only bus that passes in the vicinity is Rapid Penang 401E.

The nearest petrol station is the Shell along Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway. The nearest market is at Macallum Street Ghaut. The nearest shopping centres include 1st Avenue Mall, Prangin Mall, Komtar and Gama. The nearest hospital is the Penang General Hospital.

Traffic is very heavy along Magazine Road in front of Noordin Street Ghaut, as it is a main exit for the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
