Johnson Residence is a care provider. It currently owns and manages two care centres in Penang; Turf View Care Centre and Codrington Avenue Care Centre, and another in Melaka, Kee Ann Care Centre. It also partners with Well Healthcare Group to provide physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy for their residents. Well Healthcare runs multiple physiotherapy centres around Malaysia including a unit at Turf View Care Centre. Johnson Residence is also partnered with Home Medicare Group to provide doctors' home visits and home-based blood screening for their residents' non-critical / non-emergency medical needs.
In June 2019, Penang Adventist Hospital appointed Codrington Avenue Care Centre and Turf View Care Centre as their official partner for transitional, stepdown and recovery care for their hospital patients. Read about it here.
All Johnson Residence Care Centres provide the following types of care:
Codrington Avenue Care Centre is a 24-hour eldercare centre and nursing home set in a beautiful post-colonial period bungalow with a large garden, located at the heart of the vibrant neighbourhood of Pulau Tikus, George Town. They are centrally located within major hospitals in Penang (1.2km to Penang General Hospital and no more than 2km away from private city hospitals) so that clients can rest assured that their loved one will have access to proper care should they require urgent medical attention at any time of the day. They are just a stone's throw away from everything they and their loved ones might need.
Turf View Care Centre is the company's second establishment located just 2.7km away from Penang General Hospital. Housed in a newly renovated block of apartments, Turf View Care Centre provides a warm, community-living atmosphere for their residents in a peaceful environment. They are 600m or 7 minute's walk away from popular eateries along Jalan Sekolah La Salle and a 4 minute drive to amenities in the Pulau Tikus area including the popular Pulau Tikus Market and various shopping outlets and eateries. Buddhist, Christian, Catholic and Hindu places of worship are available within a 3km radius from the nursing home.
Kee Ann Care Centre is the latest addition to Johnson Residence's branches, and opens in September 2019. Kee Ann Care Centre is a 24-hour eldercare centre and nursing home in Malacca that is located in the heart of downtown heritage Malacca. Independent residents can reach the Malacca River in 3 minutes for calming morning walks or regular evening strolls. Kee Ann Care Centre's location is most ideal as it is next to all the amenities with medical facilities only minutes away by ambulance should any medical emergencies arise. The Melaka General Hospital is only 3km away from Kee Ann Care Centre. Eateries and shopping outlets are just located in the streets next to the care centre.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
