Or Nee (27 April 2013)
Or Nee (芋泥) is a Teochew dessert made of taro (often mistaken as yam). This creamy dessert is often taken after a meal. On this page, I share the recipe for making Or Nee. You can serve it as it is, which is how we often do, or you can add a topping of ginkgo.
Or Nee in the wok. You have to keep on stirring until it becomes a thick paste. (27 April 2013)

Our Recipe for making Or Nee
Ingredients:
- Taro - skinned, sliced, steamed and mashed
- Sugar
- Oil
Method:
- Heat a wok over medium fire, add in mashed yam, sugar and oil.
- Stir until oil escape from the mixture.
- Scoop into a bowl, smooth the surface
- Serve hot or chilled.

- 用中火烧热锅,放入压烂的芋头,糖和油。
- 翻炒至出油。
- 倒进碗,弄平。
- 趁热享用或冷冻。
