Or NeeOr Nee (27 April 2013)


Or Nee (芋泥) is a Teochew dessert made of taro (often mistaken as yam). This creamy dessert is often taken after a meal. On this page, I share the recipe for making Or Nee. You can serve it as it is, which is how we often do, or you can add a topping of ginkgo.

Our Recipe for making Or Nee

Ingredients:
  1. Taro - skinned, sliced, steamed and mashed
  2. Sugar
  3. Oil
Method:
  1. Heat a wok over medium fire, add in mashed yam, sugar and oil.
  2. Stir until oil escape from the mixture.
  3. Scoop into a bowl, smooth the surface
  4. Serve hot or chilled.
材料:
  1. 芋头- 削皮,切片, 蒸熟, 压烂
做法:
  1. 用中火烧热锅,放入压烂的芋头,糖和油。
  2. 翻炒至出油。
  3. 倒进碗,弄平。
  4. 趁热享用或冷冻。
