Yi Yoga (GPS: 5.46349, 100.30247) is a yoga studio at Tanjung Point, in Tanjung Bungah, Penang. It is operated by yoga instructor Tony Khoo, who has nearly 20 years of experience in yoga since the early 2000s. He earned his first teaching certification in 2009. Over the years, he has gained multiple certifications in Hatha, Bikram, Ashtanga and Yin yoga. This enables him to draw from a wide range of styles and approaches.

Tony's classes at Yi Yoga emphasize building a strong foundation, progressing safely and developing self-awareness and self love. According to Tony, in yoga, unlike normal exercises, he does not believe in "no pain no gain", and would discourage students from pushing their body beyond their limits. His intention is to help students unlock their full potential - both physically and mentally, while fostering a mindful and intentional approach to life.

My wife and I had the opportunity of visiting Yi Yoga prior to its opening. The studio is graced with photographs taken by Tony, who is also an ardent photographer.

Yoga classes will start from 30 October 2024. There are various yoga sessions per day. For details, refer to Tony's website.
