Pacific West Cheezy Fish FilletsPacific West Cheezy Fish Fillets (23 November 2017)

My wife and I enjoy Pacific West food products. We usually buy their Tempura Fish Fillets. So, we were delighted when I was among the bloggers selected to sample Pacific West's new fish fillet product. The company sent a cooler bag of their products right to our house. In that packet was a box of our favourite Tempura Fish Fillet, a box of Oven Baked Fish Fillets, two packs of Calamari Rings, and two boxes of their newest products, the Cheezy Fish Fillets. We have not tried this particular item before, so we were excited to try it out immediately.

Pacific West sent us their products as part of a campaign to introduce the Cheezy Fish Fillets. In conjunction with that, they are also doing a contest called Win Your Dream Holiday. To enter this contest, you just need to submit proof of purchase (that means, an official printed receipt) of minimum one Pacific West product with the contest form. This can be done by WhatsApp or post. Lucky winners stand a chance to win a holiday for two to Perth or Bali. Take a look at the contest poster below.

Now, back to ourselves, here's everything that came out of the cooler bag from Pacific West:

Out of all the items, the one which Pacific West specifically wanted us to promote is the Cheezy Fish Fillets. Here it is:

We considered whether to deep fry or to use the air fryer. We decided that it would be tastier deep frying, so that's what we did.

Once the fish fillets were cooked to a golden brown, we took them out of the frying pan and placed them on a paper kitchen towel to soak off the oil.

As this was going to be our dinner tonight, we also deepfried a pack of Pacific West Calamari Rings, which we placed around the Cheezy Fish Fillets, and surrounded them with blanched broccoli.

To show how the Cheezy fish fillets look like from the inside, we cut one of the fillets into two. You can see the delicious cheese oozing out.

The Cheezy Fish Fillets were crispy on the outside while the fish remains firm and succulent on the inside. You can see that the fish meat is white, and if you have the chance to taste it, you would know that the fish is surprisingly fresh. I had the fish fillets on their own, without any mayonnaise or chilli sauce, so that the taste of the cheese is not masked. It's very tasty and I love it. Luckily there is still another box of Cheezy Fish Fillets we haven't eaten yet, but not for long!

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
