PARKROYAL Penang Staycation 2018

PARKROYAL Penang Resort Staycation 2018PARKROYAL Penang Resort Staycation 2018 (27 April 2018)

On 27-29 April, 2018, my wife and I enjoyed the pleasure of a staycation at PARKROYAL Penang Resort, where we get a full immersion into the PARKROYAL hospitality experience. The hospitality experience started right from the moment we stepped into the resort hotel.

Instead of being made to wait at the Front Desk, we were ushered to Javana Lounge, the cavernous lounge area of the hotel, and served our welcome drinks and hand towels. Then we were greeted by General Manager of PARKROYAL Penang Resort, Mr Edward Kollmer and Marketing Communications Coordinator, Miss Carrena Sim. It was indeed a lovely start to our staycation, as we get to know the people running the resort, and can work closely with them.

We were given a lovely room on the 6th floor of the resort. From there, we can get a gorgeous view of the resort grounds, and the beautiful sea not far away.

For the next two mornings, we enjoyed sumptuous breakfasts at the hotel's main dining outlet, Cinnamon. It offers a wide range of both Western and Oriental cuisine. On both mornings, we saw that the hotel was quite pack with guests.

In the afternoon of our second day at PARKROYAL, we got to enjoy "T-Time" at the resort. This is the afternoon tea, and it is available with two options: Western or Local. We were given to try the local fare, which was an opulent affair. The dishes were brought to our table on a lovely Nyonya tiffin carrier, and we get to select a choice of Ronnefeldt teas.

The rest of our time, we spent enjoying PARKROYAL Resort Penang's huge swimming pools. There are at least two different pools to choose, and I spent as much time as I could in them.
