Pearl Hill (GPS: 5.4604, 100.29526) is a hill and upscale neighbourhood in
Tanjung Bungah, Penang. It is reached by
Puncak Bukit Mutiara. The hill that gives the name Pearl Hill, or translated Bukit Mutiara, comprises a few hillocks including
Mount Erskine and Bukit Paderi.
Mount Erskine is one of the hillocks which is part of Pearl Hill. It was also known as Mount Olivia, a name given in honour of the wife of Stamford Raffles. However, the name of the hill has since been transferred to denote the
Mount Erskine neighbourhood, which actually got its name from the Mount Erskine Road, built from Bagan Jermal towards Mount Olivia.
