Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Timur Laut (2 July 2014)


Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Timur Laut (GPS: 5.42314, 100.32774) is the North East District Education Office. The office is responsible for the management of schools in the north east district. This includes ensuring that all the schools in the district receive an adequate number of teachers. The office also look into the registration and transfer of pupils. Thus its role and responsibilities are slightly different from that of the Penang Education Department.

The North East District Education Office is headed by the district education officer, who at time of writing (July 2014) is Mohd Ismail bin Pawanteh.
