Penang Assemblies refers to a group of churches comprising believers practising the New Testament principles of church gathering in Penang. The Penang Assemblies trace their history to early missionary work in Penang in the 19th century, which led to the establishment of the Farquhar Street assembly. The churches in which the believers gather in fellowship are usually called "Gospel Hall", "Gospel Centre" and "Chapel", rarely ever "Church".
