Penang Bowl (8 August 2013)
Penang Bowl is probably the oldest bowling alley in Penang. It is housed in a 3-storey building on
Farquhar Street. The 16-lane Penang Bowl has been operating since the mid 1970s. In addition to the bowling alley, Penang Bowl also has a Chinese restaurant serving, among others,
mee suah tau.

Review of food
8 August, 2013
I learned that we can get
mee suah tau at Penang Bowl, so we hightailed over to try it out. We ordered the mee suah tau as well as the
springroll. The mee suah tau cost RM6.00 each while the springroll was RM5.50 per plate of two rolls.
The mee suah tau came with a sprinkling of crab meat. Other ingredients included egg and minced meat. Personally, I find that it too salty. My wife commented that it looked more like thick mee suah soup, though to be fair, we cannot compare commercially prepared mee suah tau with homecooked mee suah tau.
I quite like the springroll. My wife, who is harder to please, described it as "so so". The skin is quite crispy, though slightly too brown. I thought it tastes good with the mee suah tau. Both are quite salty.
