Penang Hill Lower Station (1 November 2014)
Penang Hill Lower Station (GPS: 5.40811, 100.27724) is the terminus of the Penang Hill furnicular train at the foot of
Penang Hill. The older building constructed during the British era is still standing, and has been incorporated into the larger station complex, which includes a new ticketing counter, history gallery and eatery. In between the eatery and the gallery is a courtyard which is today partially sheltered by a canopy, which provides some comfort away from the elements.
The Penang Hill Lower Station is located at the end of
Hill Railway Road. It is a short walking distance from the
Penang Hill Multi-Storey Car Park. Also within walking distance is the Penang Hill Bus Stop, served by Rapid Penang Bus 204.
