Penang MACC Complex (2 July 2014)

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Northern Division has its office at the
Penang MACC Complex on Northam Road in
George Town, Penang. The main building is a six-storey structure that was completed a few years ago.
The MACC Penang branch was established in 1967. In the beginning, it occupied space within the Beach Street Police Station. Three years later, it relocated to the
Social Welfare Office Building (the former building of the St George's Girls School) next to the Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
The Anti-Corruption Agency relocated to Northam Road where it occupied its former building until 2004, when it temporarily moved across the road to the PSCI Tower, to make way for the construction of its new complex. The present MACC Complex was completed in October 2005. It occupies a 4.2-acre plot and was built at the cost of RM4.2 million. It was officiated by the Honorable Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, on 3 November, 2007.
