Penang Mutiara Beach Resort (GPS: 5.45994, 100.21674) is a now-defunct 5-star resort in Teluk Bahang, Penang. The resort was built in 1987 as a joint venture between Pernas Hotel (Penang) and Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE) Singapore. It opened to business on 16 September 1988.

Penang Mutiara Beach Resort had 438 guest rooms. It was managed by Singapore Mandarin International (now called Meritus Hotels & Resorts), the hospitality arm of OUE. Pernas Hotel Chain Sdn Bhd took over management in 1999. The owner is Pernas International Holdings Bhd, now known as Tradewinds Corporation Bhd. There were negotiations for InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG Hotels & Resorts) to manage the hotel under the name InterContinental Resort Penang.

On 27 March 2006, the resort closed, purportedly for renovation, with reopening set to 2008. This was then delayed to 2009, and then postponed indefinitely. Over time, it became an abandoned building.
