Travel Privilege Card PenangHere I am with the Travel Privilege Card Penang (1 March 2016)

How do you stretch your money when you visit Malaysia? As you probably can understand, the entrance fee to many of Malaysia's worth-visiting museums and sights, put together, can be quite a healthy sum. Wouldn't it be nice if you can get a discount for visiting them?

Your answer, is to get the Travel Privilege Card (Malaysia). Originally created for sights in Penang, it has now been expande3d to sights elsewhere in the country. As of May 2017, an increasing number of sights in Perak, Kedah (Langkawi), Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor have signed up to participate.

Tourism Malaysia, working in conjunction with the Penang Tourist Centre, has now come out with the Travel Privilege Card - Penang. Priced at RM25 each, this is a discount card entitling the holder and his family (up to a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children for each time of usage) a 20% discount for patronising participating outlets. In addition, you can now enjoy a 15% discount for meals at participating restaurants.

The Travel Privilege Card is valid for the whole year. Around September of each year, a new card is issued that is valid until 31 December of the following year. All you need to do is to present the card at the following participating outlet to enjoy your discount. There is no limit to the number of times you use this card. The card is available now at Penang Tourist Centre office at King Edward Place, as well as at an increasing number of outlets.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
