Penang World City (GPS: 5.34328, 100.31189) is a mixed development project in Batu Uban, on the east coast of Penang Island. It is sited on a 41.4-hectare (102.5-acre) piece of land to the north of Queensbay, comprising 27.5ha of existing land and 14ha of reclaimed land. The developer of this project is Tropicana Ivory, a joint venture between Dijaya Corporation and Ivory Properties.

Components of Penang World City being planned include luxury condominium, waterpark, medical centre, shopping centre, commercial outlets and entertainment centre.

Phase 1A of Penang World City is the Tropicana Bay Residences, presently (July 2014) under construction.

Penang World City is 9.1 km from Komtar. It is ideal for the consideration of high-income earners working or running businesses in the Bayan Lepas area.

Rapid Penang 401E passes along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.

The nearest market is the Pantai Jerejak Market. The nearest petrol station is the Caltex at e-Gate. The nearest shopping mall is Queensbay Mall. The nearest hospital is Pantai Hospital.

Traffic

Traffic along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway is heavy for much of the day. There is a bottleneck at Batu Uban which is presently (June 2012) being widened.
