Peng Hwa Lok Lok, Pulau Tikus Market (24 July 2014)
Peng Hwa Lok Lok Stall is a stall at the Pulau Tikus Market. It is one of the two lok lok stalls at the market. The stall has a wide range of skewered items for you to taste.
Having tried the stall at the far end of the market, I looked forward to the one on the middle part of the market. I have been told that it is better. We finally went there on 24 July, 2014.
I have to say that this stall has a lot of items spread on the table, some even stacked one above the other. However, I feel both are the same, this one and the other stall, which I shall call the Pulau Tikus Market Lok Lok Stall. I call this one the Peng Hwa Lok Lok Stall 檳華樂樂, as that's the name it has on its stall.
I did notice a lot of flies at this stall. I did not notice the flies at the other stall, but my wife told me she noticed flies at the other stall when we tried it previously too. As for the sauces, I was told that this stall has a lot of choices. To me, both stalls have a wide choice of sauces.
Lo Han Kuo drinks at the Pulau Tikus Market stall (24 July 2014)
We ordered the Lo Han Kuo drink, which was very nice. I had the iced one while my wife ordered the not version. It came with lo han kuo, longan, and other stuff.
After trying both stalls, I am "done" with lok lok at Pulau Tikus. To me, the taste at both stalls are good, but I am not that comfortable, now that I have noticed the flies. Lok lok is very reasonably price here, though. The bill came to just about RM14 for two, which is quite low considering the number of skewers we accumulated.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
