Have you tried the Wan Tan Mee at Pinang Delicious Food Court? I discovered the stall quite by chance when I was at Macalister Road and decided to have my breakfast there. Looking around for something to eat, I saw this stall and decided to order a plate.
As I want to order other food as well, we ordered the "small". Also, this is just to try, so I don't want to straightaway order a bigger plate. It turned out to be quite good. You can see the amount of char siew. The noodle is springy, meaning it is not over cooked or under cooked. But what I like most is that the wan tan is big and meaty. In so many places, they give you wan tan that are all skin and almost no meat inside. Not here. Also, I like it that they serve the wan tan soup separately in a small bowl, rather than placing it on the plate itself.
After my meal, I went to the stall and took a photo of the uncooked wan tan, complimenting them that I enjoyed the wan tan mee very much.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
