Visiting cities around the region, I have come across advertisements by Penang hospitals promoting their cosmetic and plastic surgery services. Apparently almost all the hospitals in Penang are gearing themselves to receive medical tourists for cosmetic and plastic surgeries and treatments. This has helped Penang enhance its position as a destination for medical tourism, and many are combining a holiday here with some form of cosmetic-enhancement procedures as well as for reconstructive surgeries.
