Prince of Wales Island International School (GPS: 5.36826, 100.21952) is an international school with campuses at
Botanica CT in Bandar Baru
Air Putih,
Balik Pulau, and
Tanjung Bungah, Penang. It had its first intake of pupils in September 2011. The school is created to follow the style of British boarding schools, although it also accepts day-time students.
The lessons provided by the Prince of Wales Island International School follows a British-style curriculum. This is especially geared towards preparing students to sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. To provide students of outstanding ability the opportunity to study at the school, scholarships are available to those exhibiting recognizable talent and achievements. An English language preparation course is also available to help students cope with the level of English expected from them to follow the curriculum of the school.
Getting there
The nearest bus stop is along Jalan Air Putih, served by
Rapid Penang bus
404 and 501. From the bus stop, walk south on Jalan Air Putih until junction with Jalan Bharu. Take the country path across the junction of Jalan Bharu to emerge at Jalan Sungai Air Putih 4. From there, walk around the school field to reach the main entrance.
