Puspahome Homestay and Event House is a newly established homestay and event venue along Jalan Masjid Negeri (Green Lane), Penang. It is located within the spacious grounds of the Penang Free School Headmasters' Bungalow, the two-storey Straits-style bungalow which until recently was the residence of principals of the Penang Free School.

The bungalow of Puspahome Homestay and Event House was erected in 1926, when the present school building was being built. It has its own compound covering more than 20,000 sqft. The bungalow has been refurbished, and now accepts guests on short term and daily booking.

Puspahome Homestay and Event House has three bedrooms which can each accommodate 4 persons per room. Each room is air-conditioned, and furnished with a television set, ensuite bathroom, and tea-n-coffee-making facility.

One of the unique features of Puspahome is its spacious ground, which is suitable for holding events and functions involving a large number of guests. Within the garden area is a fully-equipped barbeque pit, available for the use of guests at a reasonable fee. The place provides the privacy with ample parking space right in town.

Presently, accommodation at Puspahome Homestay and Event House starts at RM175 per room of four persons. Guests visiting in a group are encouraged to book the whole bungalow for only RM500 per day subject to time and type of event.

A stay at Puspahome Homestay and Event House provides guests the opportunity of experiencing a Straits-style bungalow of the late 1920's. The leafy neighbourhood is also conveniently located, within a short walking distance from major bus stops along Jalan Masjid Negeri and Jalan Air Itam. The Penang State Mosque, Scouts and Girl Guides headquarters, the Trinity Methodist Church and Han Chiang High School are all within walking distance.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
