Queensbay Mall Trompe-l'œil Street Art

Queensbay Mall Trompe-l'œil Street Art (20 January 2013)

For a temporary period only, visitors to Queensbay Mall can enjoy a series of trompe-l'œil street art. These are temporary façades for food outlets on the northern concourse of the North Zone. Eventually the concourse will form a new food precinct.

The trompe-l'œil street art depict the façade of various European-style buildings. The artwork depicts windows with windowsills, bushes, doorways and paintings hanging on the walls. Props are added to the murals, among them flower pots, chairs, tables, teacups, vases, even a bicycle.

While the trompe-l'œil street art are still around, visitors are welcome to have their photos taken with them. If you want to shoot these artworks, you'd better be quickl as they are not permanent. The following are some of the photos I've taken with them.
