Rapid Penang Double Decker Bus are commuter buses that ply the streets in Penang. The buses began operations on Wednesday, 20 July, 2016. The buses are used for routes 101 between Weld Quay and Teluk Bahang; route 102, between the Penang International Airport and Teluk Bahang; and route 301 between Weld Quay and Relau. According to Rapid Penang, as reported in The Star (21 July 2016), the double decker buses can carry a maximum of 108 passengers, some 40% more passengers than the single deck buses. The company plans to add up to 30 or so double-decker buses to its fleet, to be introduced in stages.

The Rapid Penang Double Decker Bus was launched by Penang Deputy Chief Minister I, Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon, in the presence of Prasarana chairman Tan Sri Ismail Adam and Rapid Bus chief executive officer Zulkifli Mohd Yusoff.
