Black Kettle (GPS: 5.41541, 100.33971) is a restaurant in George Town, Penang. It is located at the junction between Beach Street and Chulia Street Ghaut, with its back to Yeoh Kongsi, which owns the property and rents it out to the business.

Black Kettle is open daily except Wednesdays, from 9:00am to 10:00pm. It serves premium coffee, as well as a wide variety of Oriental and Western fare. The restaurant also has space on the upper level which can be rented out for various events and functions.

My visit to Black Kettle

I have visited Black Kettle twice. The first time was on 5 December 2015, when I was invited to meet up with a group of international university students, to tell them about Penang Hokkien. I returned to Black Kettle the second time on 12 December, with my wife, at the invitation of KE Chua, who established the restaurant back in 2015.
