Sumptious delights at Lexis Suites Penang 2017 CNY Food Tasting (18 January 2017)


It is such a joy to attend a food tasting at Lexis Suites Penang. We were pleased when the hotel extended an invitation to my wife and me to review the buffets and course dinners they are holding for Chinese New Year 2017. The meals are specially created for the festive season by the hotel's inhouse executive chef, Chef Lim. Together with the entire restaurant team, the hotel has whipped up a sumptious array of dishes. I had a chance to take a group shot with them.

CNY 2017 Buffet Dinners

There will be three types of buffet at Lexis Suites through the Chinese New Year season. Those booking whole table (of 10 diners) receive a complimentary Salmon Yee Sang per table.

On 27 January (Friday), Lexis Suites holds the Steamboat Buffet Dinner from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and priced at RM88 nett (adult), RM48 nett (child) and RM68 nett (senior).

On 28 January (Saturday), there is the Seafood Buffet Dinner from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm and priced at at RM88 nett (adult), RM48 nett (child) and RM68 nett (senior).

On all days from 28 January to 3 February, the hotel also holds a Buffet Lunch from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. These are priced at RM68 nett (adult), RM38 (child) and RM48 nett (senior).

CNY 2017 Course Dinners

You may book tables at Lexis Suites Penang for course dinners too. Each table accommodates 10 diners. Called the Feast of Prosperity, there are three 8-course menus to choose:

The Health & Welath Menu: RM788 nett
Longevity Menu: RM888 nett
Prosperity Menu: RM988 nett

Umi Japanese Restaurant Buffet

Umi Japanese Restaurant at Lexis Suites is also having a buffet promotion of Buy 3 Free 1, every Friday and 29 January (but not on 27 January), from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, priced at RM100 nett (adult), RM50 nett (child) and RM70 nett (senior).
