Rice Miller City Residences is a luxury property development on a 1.2 hectare site in
George Town, Penang. The RM250-million project is being developed by Asian Global Business. It comprises 99 residential units and a 48-room 5-star boutique hotel facing the
Weld Quay waterfront, and bounded by
Beach Street,
Church Street Ghaut and
China Street Ghaut. The apartments include 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, studio and duplex units.
Rice Miller City was named to commemorate the rice mill operated by 19th century tycoon Phuah Hin Leong (@ Lim Choo Guan), whose great-granddaughter chairs Asian Global Business. The project hopes to emulate the successes of other rehabilated waterfronts such as London Docklands and Sydney Darling Harbour.
